God Works in Life's Disruptions (Gen. 3)

Updated: Mar 24

During the lockdown in 2020, I started reading and journaling about how God works when there are disruptions to our lives. It occurred to me that Scripture is FULL of disruptions to peoples' lives. So, this will be a series reflecting on history recorded in God's Word.

Genesis 3 - The Temptation and Fall of Man

So, He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life. - Gen. 3:24

Adam and Eve did not realize how good they had it in the Garden of Eden. Sadly, they sinned against God, and they were sent out of the Garden. The first disruption was because of sin. They did not believe God and chose to believe Satan (serpent). But God's presence was still with them, and He loved them. He was not surprised, yet there had to be consequences. Their lives were disrupted, but the LORD had a plan. (Gen. 3:15)

Father, thank You for your mercy and grace toward Man, to me. Thank you for sending our Savior Jesus to redeem humanity.

He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. - Colossians 1:13-14
