Big Country Chapter
Our CEF chapter in Abilene covers twelve counties in the area of Texas known as the Big Country. It is the youngest chapter in West Texas that was chartered in February 2023. We had been praying, and the Lord moved on the heart of a local pastor who called us and asked, “How do you start a local CEF chapter?”
The Big Country Chapter hired its first staff member in 2025:

CEF partners with churches to reach children with the Gospel. We are thankful for each church partner and the wonderful volunteers who help us fulfill CEF’s mission in the Big Country area.
The Big Country Chapter is reaching children across the twelve counties with Party Clubs, Good News clubs, and special events. If your church would like to partner with CEF® to have a Good News Club® in an area school or after school center, please contact us! There are still so many children in the Big Country who need to hear the Gospel! We want to help your church develop an outreach ministry to children in your community who need to know about God’s love and gift of salvation.
