Rio Grande Chapter
The Lord brought together a group of people in 2015 to form the Rio Grande Chapter! The first local director was Ana Santiago. There are a lot of children to reach in El Paso, the largest city in West Texas, and all over the Rio Grande region of our state.
The Chapter office is in the building for the El Paso Baptist Association on Rushing Road in El Paso.
We are currently praying for and seeking a local director. In the meantime, please contact Kerran Fowlkes, our committee chairman at (915) 252-5826.
Rick Rivera, Local Coordinator
Rick Rivera has faithfully served in church planting ministry for the past 18 years, planting four congregations throughout Texas and New Mexico. Having accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of six, Rick has devoted his life to sharing the Gospel and advancing God’s Kingdom. As a second-generation pastor, he continues a rich legacy of faithful ministry and servant leadership.
Rick is married to his wife, Claudia, and together they have been blessed with four children—Jahzeel, Brandon, Abby, and Sarita—and five wonderful grandchildren. Outside of ministry, Rick enjoys evangelism, biblical preaching, music, and creating lasting memories with his family.
Today, Rick is honored to serve as the Director of the CEF Rio Grande Chapter, partnering with local churches to bring the hope of the Gospel to children throughout El Paso and the Rio Grande region. His passion is to equip churches to reach the next generation with the message of Jesus Christ and to strengthen church partnerships that impact communities for eternity.
Throughout his ministry, Rick has remained committed to planting churches, developing leaders, and proclaiming the Gospel. His prayer is that God will continue to bless El Paso and the surrounding communities as countless children and families come to know Christ through the faithful work of local churches and Gospel-centered ministries.
“Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”

CEF partners with churches to reach children with the Gospel. We are thankful for each church partner and the wonderful volunteers who help us fulfill CEF’s mission in six counties in the Rio Grande area.
If your church would like to partner with CEF® to have a Good News Club® in an area school, please contact us! We want to help your church develop an outreach ministry to children in your community who need to know about God’s love and gift of salvation.
The Rio Grande Chapter is supported financially by individuals, churches, businesses, and foundations that want to join us in evangelizing children. If you would like to be a financial partner, scroll down for information on EasyTithe online giving and the “DONATE” page – or contact Kerran Fowlkes (915) 252-5826.
