5 DAY CLUBS-SUMMER OUTREACH

Summer is a great time to take the Good News of Jesus Christ to children! Families are busy with all kinds of activities, but lots of kids are in day care throughout the week while parents are at work. Many children go to local Boys & Girls Clubs or to Camp Fire USA Monday through Friday each week in the summer.

CEF chapters recruit Christian teens and pre-teens to help reach out to children in the summer through a Bible club called 5-Day Club®.

Each club is held at the same time each day and lasts about 75 minutes. We train Christian teenagers to teach the children. The training is called Christian Youth in Action® (CYIA). It is held in June at South Plains College in Levelland, plus practical training in clubs back home.

A 5-Day Club is like a Good News Club, but there are also some key differences!  5-Day Clubs are more “condensed,” since they are five days in a row (usually Mon.-Fri.), and they are taught by teens rather than adults. They are very evangelistic and gospel-centered, like a GNC.  Each club includes:

  • Songs
  • Bible Lesson
  • Memory Verse
  • Missions Teaching
  • Review Game
  • Teaching on Prayer
