Good News Club-A Great Way to Reach Children with The Gospel!

Good News Club is a core ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship®.  Trained volunteer teachers meet with groups of children in schools, community centers, churches, apartment complexes — just about anywhere the children can easily and safely meet.  Children participate with their parents’ permission.

Clubs are usually held right after school once a week September-April. Each week, the team of teachers present a dynamic and Bible-centered hour or longer of the following activities for children in Good News Club:

  • Songs
  • Bible Lesson (evangelistic or growth lesson)
  • Memory Verse from the Bible
  • Missions Teaching
  • Review Game
  • Wonder Time (discipleship teaching)
  • Plus, most clubs include a snack time

As with all CEF ministries, the purpose of Good News Club is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living.

Can we really teach the Gospel in public schools?

Yes! On June 11, 2001, the Supreme Court clarified existing law in the case Good News Club v Milford Central School. If a school district is “open forum,” which allows community groups to use public school facilities, it cannot deny access to other groups based on viewpoint discrimination. The policy is known as equal access. Praise God!
